Objectives

Tasks Performed:

ePO Strategy Development

We work with your team to develop an enterprise-wide deployment strategy for ePO, addressing maintenance and virus outbreak modes.

  • Develop a strategy to roll out ePO to all desktops and servers in your enterprise
  • Formulate desktop security policy
  • Develop an agent update strategy with minimal impact on network and desktop performance
  • Interpret and schedule ePO reports
  • Set procedures to contain outbreaks

Setup and Configuration

We configure and test the technology with a pilot ePO deployment customized to your requirements, and train your team members to customize ePO as your requirements evolve.

  • Install and configure ePO software on one Windows server
  • Deploy ePO agents to a pilot network
  • Test ePO software agent distribution method on your systems (up to eight workstations and two file servers, each running VirusScan)
  • Test virus detection policy enforcement on your systems where agent is installed ( those eight workstations and two file servers)
  • Configure ePO to generate centralized reports for installed McAfee products with ePO agents (desktop/VirusScan®, file server/NetShield NT, GroupWare/GroupShield Exchange, e500 appliance)
  • Configure ePO to receive and distribute automatic DAT file updates, regular product updates and scan engine updates
  • Configure ePO to enforce custom desktop security policies
  • Configure ePO to accept emergency updates
  • Roll out production implementation

Training

We train one of your team members to install, configure and manage ePolicy Orchestrator.
